Best otc products for eczema?
My daughter, 2, has eczema. Right now we’re using Dove soap and Cetephil lotion. The weather is so hot now, it makes it worse. Any other suggestions for good over-the-counter products?
eczema flares are triggered by numerous factors such as harsh chemical ingredients found in skin care products, soaps, detergents and perfumes, dust, pollens, animal danders, scratchy clothes, too much heat, extreme dry skin, smoking, poor diet, alcohol, long baths and stress or low immune system.
avoiding all these factors can guarantee that you can prevent eczema outbreaks from happening plus compliment it with the use of an all natural moisturizer. keep your skin and body hydrated by drinking adequate amount of water and have a healthy lifestyle. visit http://www.skinoriginal.com for more tips about natural eczema remedies.
I hope it’s Sensitive skin Dove soap. I’m not sure about otc products, I usually go to the GP > prescription and so on. Best to do it that way, or go and see a dermatologist. Try a cream called ‘Abido’, it’s Ghanian and they sell it in markets. Quite hard to get ahold of though. Or try E45 (this doesn’t work for me but people have told me it has for their sons, daughters etc.

Have you tried the Aveeno Products? I had it bad in the summer when I was pregnant, I bought the OTC bath powder made with oatmeal. You can find it in the bath/soap isle at any groceries store. It helped a bunch. It makes the tub look yucky but I recommend it along with the use of Aveeno lotion, or the Curel lotion. It’s safe for any age.

Often skincare products can contain unnecessary ingredients such as colors or fragrance.
But also look out for harsh preservatives, like parabens, which can trigger an eczema flare-up.
In the US, the National Eczema Society has recently published a list of ingredient to avoid – worth considering for anyone with sensitive skin.
