My daughter has eczema and her skin on her neck, behind her knees and elbows is about 5 times darker?
Her skin colour is about 5-6 shades darker on her neck, legs and arms compared to her face.
She is also allergic to egg and some nuts and has asthma. Her eczema is under control Are there any natural remedies that can help her skin improve as she is only 6 and has been bullied in school because of her skin colour being different. Im using dream cream from lush which is a good moisturiser but isnt doing anything for the darkened skin. Thanks
Diet!!!! Most people can’t even imagine how much effect a wholesome diet has on not only healing but reversing what is damaged! This seems so far fetched because we never see or hear about people who really and truly eat healthily! …. unless you really research! Watch this video, if you will:

Eczema In Children – Useful Remedies To Beat Eczema
There are three kinds of rashes that babies tend to develop. If the cause is not chicken pox or poison ivy it has to be eczema. In such a case the skin will turn scaly, red and it will develop sores. If the itching exceeds a limit the skin will start shedding in the form of scales. Eczema is also known as Dermatis. Dermatis means skin inflammation and here the skin tends to turn sore and pink. This is a very common problem. It has been found out that one in every ten children tend to suffer from this problem and this is below the age group of five. Once the child becomes a teenager there are less chances of this problem occurring.
Dry skin is just one of the problems that eczema creates, the other is the fact that the skin tends to itch terribly. Eczema is chronic and it can occur periodically. A special kind of cell that is present in the body will react to any foreign body that comes in contact with the skin. Here the skin inflammation takes place only to protect it. Some of the foreign bodies that are harmful may cause the skin to over react as they trigger out the reaction in self-defense. This can make the skin terribly sore, red and itchy. These special cells are present in large quantities in children who have eczema.
Generally if diseases like asthma, general allergies or hay fever are present in the family, the baby has a higher chance of getting eczema. This problem is passed down from the parents and is present in the genes. Researchers have found out that babies who have eczema have smaller chances of developing hay fever or asthma later in life. One good thing about eczema is that it is not contagious. There are many symptoms that help in identifying eczema. The first and foremost is the rash. Initially it might seem like the rashes are disappearing but they are sure to return back. Though eczema rashes are known to itch badly, this need not be the case always. These rashes always start from inside the elbows and behind the knees and then gradually spread to the other body parts.
There are many other kinds of rashes that can be formed besides eczema; only a doctor would generally be able to distinguish a normal rash from eczema. If it is confirmed that the rashes are due to eczema the child will have to use lotions or moisturizing creams in order to stop the skin from drying and also to stop the itchiness. In case the rashes do not stop the doctor may prescribe corticosteroids. This can be in the form of cream or ointment, which has to be applied to control the inflammation of the skin. Antihistamine can also be taken for severe swelling. This is available in either in the form of a liquid or as a pill. The doctors will definitely prescribe an antibiotic in case the itching has produced infection.
Certain substances trigger eczema. Children who are prone to eczema should avoid these substances. These substances could be soaps, detergents, hot and sweaty skin, dry air (during winters), and perfumes. Skin irritation can increase when it comes in contact with certain fabrics or dust mites. Even if there is severe itching the child must refrain from scratching it severely since it will only cause the skin to itch more and it will also help in spreading infection. In case of severe scratching the skin can sometimes break and bleed and this is what causes the infection to spread. The best remedy to this is to wet a cloth with cool water and place it on the area where there is severe itching. Parents should ensure that the nails of the children are cut short in order to avoid the skin from tearing when the child scratches it. Most importantly the patient should drink lots of water since this helps in keeping the skin moist.

Anyone have any alternative or natural remedies for eczema?
Our family doctor prescribed hydrocortisone for my daughter (she’s 3 going on 4 in January) to treat her eczema. She gets it quite badly about 2x per year – on her arms, legs and sometimes on her stomach. The pharmacist just cautioned me about not using the hydrocortisone too much on her – why would that be? Is it a steroid?
She gets it twice a year – probably when the big changes in weather come. This is a trigger for eczema.
My son was the same way and at the time he was an infant/toddler we had an "older" ped who was wonderful. he said all of the expensive skin creams in the world – nothing is better than good old fashioned vasoline. Take a big glop while she is standing in the bath and then let her play for 5-10. Of course, stay close to make sure she is sitting as the tub gets slippery. When she gets out gently dry her off (don’t rub as it irritates skin conidtions). Cortisone is helpful but can lead to think skin, white patches on the skin and photosensitivity so try Vasoline first. Worked wonders for us and others I know
Keep an eye on her as she grows for allergies and asthma as they almost always go hand in hand with ecxema.
Is It Better to Treat the Symptoms or the Causes?
Illness symptoms have been given names such as: headache, indigestion, stomach ache, diarrhea, constipation, hayfever, asthma, eczema, sinusitis, arthritis, high blood pressure, and cancer.
They are called diseases, but are more correctly “dis-ease indicators” These indicators are signals, or symptoms, of more serious problems within the body.
They are the body’s effort to get our attention, telling us that it needs supportive help to correct underlying conditions of imbalance which, if left to continue, will develop into serious disease conditions.
When we take medication to make a discomfort go away, we trade short-term gain for long-term pain, lower levels of energy, and ill health in the future. We should, instead be focusing our attention, not on the annoyance of the symptom, but on what the symptom is trying to tell us.
What have we been doing wrong that is causing the body to complain? The symptom is not the problem; it is our friend.
If we pay attention to this communication and cooperate with it, our bodies will work to correct the deeper conditions and save us from greater suffering and poor health in the future.
Our thinking should be:
* What does my body need to be able to correct the cause of this distress?
* What is it lacking?
* How can I avoid contributing to the distress?
* If I take this or that remedy, will it help or hinder my body?
* Will it make my body healthier, or will it lower my body’s nutrient and energy reserves and further weaken my immune system?
* Am I working with my body or against it?
* Am I helping my body or abusing it? Symptoms arise because of deficiencies, toxicity, and imbalances within body fluids and cells. Only the removal of causes will bring about true and lasting health.
Achieving Results
When working to eliminate disease conditions and regain health, keep in mind that each individual is different. Just because someone experienced great results in a certain amount of time does not necessarily mean everyone will.
Some conditions can be reversed quickly, while some can take a year or more before there is a breakthrough to positive results. The timing for things to begin happening depends on the following:
* Genetic make-up: health of ancestors.
* Diet as a child.
* Diet since childhood.
* Lifestyle habits of eating, drinking, smoking, drugs, exercise, rest, and attitudes.
* Stress in the person’s life.
* Exposure to environmental toxins, emfs, and geopathic stress.
* Belief system.
As well, a commitment to:
* Healthy attitudes.
* Wholesome diet.
* Regular exercise.
* Health-building supplements that cleanse the body and replenish its workers.
Continual understanding of symptoms and causes.
Whenever we have a physical problem, or symptoms of a malfunction, or disease within the body, we should be asking:
* What is causing this?
* Why is my body acting this way?
* What is it telling me?
* What is it trying to correct?
* What experience(s) in my past could be contributing to my present condition?
* How can I cooperate with my body to assist it in its detoxifying and corrective healing efforts?
* Is what I am eating, taking as a supplement or drug, helping or hindering my body in its efforts to cleanse itself and replenish its enzyme and bowel flora workers and body-building nutrients?
* Is what I am doing acting only to suppress my symptoms to make them go away?
* Am I working for short-term relief or for long-term health?
The extent to which we understand and apply the principles of natural health to our own lifestyles will determine our results, and also the timing of those results.
Every human body naturally wants to travel back up the road to health.
The lifestyles we have had, the physical and emotional challenges we have, and our openness to reexamining our thinking about health will determine how long that road back will be.

Eczema Natural Treatment in your Own Home
Eczema has been around for years and many have looked for that elusive eczema treatment that will cure them of this annoying situation for once and for all. Many have thought up all forms of weird and wonderful ideas and some far to crude to put into print.
Most Doctors will tell you that Eczema and Asthma go hand in hand, and if you get the one there’s a good chance you will get the other. They are both said to be caused by allergies but medical science has come up with the thought that it is diet based rather than being close to a cat or a dog or having a house full of dust mites.
After having several members of my own family who were sufferers I asked them what they thought and everyone agreed that animals were the main offenders and that whenever they were close to a different animal the itching started. Some of these family members have pets of there own yet when they go to another house where there are pets the symptoms begin to show.
But deciding to gain more information I began to study the case from medical science who claimed that there was a natural cure, and the reason behind the allergy to pets was because the body was not equipped to fight back yet if the patient’s diet had been improved it would have been.
So the more I read the more I began to be fascinated and I started to believe that there was such a thing as Eczema natural cure without using drugs or creams or anything of that nature.
The information was not on one web page and I had to do a lot of searching to find out what was going on and how this natural cure worked. Then little by little I began to put the pieces together and the only way I can describe it is as follows.
Just imagine for a few minutes that the human body is a machine, and that it is powered by water. Actually this is not far from the truth. Now all water has a ph level either being neutral, acidic or alkaline. If you were too continually to feed acidic water into this machine things would start to go wrong as the acid would eat into the finer parts of the machine. The same thing is happening to your body. That’s why people get Osteoporosis, and Cancers and many other diseases as well.
You may find this subject fascinating like I did but you must bare in mind that I am not a Doctor but the research was done by Doctors so I find it believable.
