I heard that cortizone is skin thinning. I have had eczema since birth and i’m looking for an alternative to cortizone creams. Are there any even available? Eczema is terribly irritating :[ please help! thank you <3

you should use silcox base, it comes in a massive tub and you lather it on at night so it soaks into your skin overnight, and you could use E45 cream during the day, because cortizone thins out your skin and you will be left with very thin skin if you use it regularly, just use it for break outs..GOOD LOOK HUN!!

What products have you found work the best for your baby if they have sensitive skin? My almost 4 month old has a red, scaly rash on his cheeks that I just can’t seem to get rid of! I took him to the dr. and he said it was just dermitis and to put cortizone on it. The cortizone helped for about 2 days and then the rash came back. I stopped using Johnson’s lotion a few weeks ago, and just stopped using their soap this last week. He has a few rashy spots on his body that come and go, but the main problem is on his face and neck. What did you find that helped your baby’s skin?

I already use baby detergent. I breastfeed, and I don’t wear lotion or perfumes.

Aveeno baby. Anything I put on his skin is one of their products. His eczema was gone within a few days and hasn’t come back.

My son has had it for about 2 months now, he is 6 months and I have been using baby eczema cream which does not help. I also used cortizone .1% and the next day his face was clear, and it stayed like that for a couple of days. I was told by some people not to use it very often, so I am not. What is safe and good?

My daughter suffers from this, I was told to use cortisone as needed and did so. Aveeno’s line of products are good and they have a oatmeal bath that will calm the itching. Eucerin also has a good moisturizing lotion. Some use Vaseline but it’s not as good in my opinion but I will tell you an odd thing that really works, and that’s Crisco. Most of the prescription drugs only worked for a while on my child. A steroid shot will also clear it up or prednisone pills will but can only be taken for a short period of time.

It’s really irritating me, and I can’t stop the itching. I just washed the area with soap. I applied Hydrogen Peroxide with a cotton swab. I did not touch the area with my hands.

Using hydro cortizone is a great way to get rid of it. Don’t scratch it to much or you might get a scab or scar.
