I have what I believe is a patch of eczema (dry irritated skin) over my eye. At times it looks pretty bad. It has come and gone (mostly stayed) for about a year and a half now. I decided to try not wearing any makeup for the past 2 weeks. That did not cause any change.

My questions are: What over the counter creams or lotions are best for eczema?
What is a really gentle soap I can use on my face?
Have you ever tried prescription medicines for eczema? Did they help?
Any other eczema advice?

I have Eczema, i grew up with it ALL over my body. And i was miserable, I have gone to multiple doctors, and dermatologists…They all gave me the same stuff, I would advise you to stop washing that area as much as possible, even face wash! And at night before you go to bed put Vaseline over the patch, and keep on doing this. After a while the patch will become moisturized, and the dead skin will just flake off, it may stay red for a bit, but the burning goes away quickly.

Hey everyone! I’ve had eczema all my life, and have yet to find anything that soothes it well enough to be able to hide it. It doesn’t itch anymore, but I still get the random patches of dry skin around my inner arms and thighs. I was wondering if anyone had something they could recommend for it?? I’m starting to do spray tans for the summer before I move to LA, so I’m not completely albino, but the dry patches are making it harder to get an even tan.

My son has terrible eczema. The best thing I have found is to make sure you keep the areas that seem to break out easy moisturized well. We use Eucerin soothing cream and Nature’s Own oatmeal lotion. Once a break out happens, put Aquaphor on it. That will protect it and help it heal.
