How can I break my skin that has eczema of its addiction to steroid cream?

I’ve had eczema for about as long as I can remember. I’ve used triamcinolone 1% cream for many years. My skin is usually pretty good while I’m using the cream, but if I go without it for even a few days it gets really bad. I haven’t been using it for weeks now and my fingers are all cut up and hurt really badly. They eventually heal, then become all dry and cut up again. Is there anything that anyone can suggest to help alleviate my eczema? I believe that my skin is addicted to this cream, as it has steroids in it. I’ve used the cream every now and then when I’ve had break outs on other parts of my body, and I stop using it when it gets better and it stays fine for a long time. I’ve used this cream numerous times a day, every day, for years on my hands. I don’t know what to do to try and break my hands of their seeming addiction to this cream. If anyone could help me out me, and my skin, would be very grateful. Thanks so much!

That is a very common problem for eczema sufferers. For me, I had to use hydrocortizone daily for a spot on my face. If I didn’t put it on at least once (or sometimes 3-4 times) the area would start getting irritated again. What really helped me was to start using natural soap, lotion, and toothpaste. Since then I’ve switched to an organic diet and I haven’t had a flare up since then.

My daughter has eczema and her skin on her neck, behind her knees and elbows is about 5 times darker?

Her skin colour is about 5-6 shades darker on her neck, legs and arms compared to her face.
She is also allergic to egg and some nuts and has asthma. Her eczema is under control Are there any natural remedies that can help her skin improve as she is only 6 and has been bullied in school because of her skin colour being different.
