Treatment for SEVERE eczema?

I have severe eczema and I’ve tried every single cream on the face of the earth but nothing seems to work just right. My skin is severely dry all over my body. I need to cream twice a day. I break out to most everything. When I use the creams they work at first but about 5-10 minutes later I dry up again. I’ve tried Cur`el, Vanni Cream, Tar ointment, all Johnson’s lotions, all vaseline products,Aquaphor, hydrolatum, Mymyx, Mimyx, all eucerin products, all trix`era products, salt water baths, tar baths, trixera baths,EVERYTHING! But I can’t find just the right one. I’ve finally found a shampoo and conditioner that works for my skin-Dove Daily Moisture Therapy shampoo and conditioner. I have food allergies too. I’m allergic to peanuts, tree nuts, low levels on egg and milk, all trees, grass, all animals, chemicals, and many more things, so keep in mind none of those things in them. I also have asthma, so I have the triangle (food allergies, eczema, and asthma). So if anyone has something that they truly believe will work PLEASE tell me! Thank you and God Bless all!

The main cause of eczema is overreaction of the immune system. Identifying certain foods, chemicals, etc can be very helpful in battling this disease. I try to avoid soy and milk products which trigger my flare-ups.
After using number of prescription drugs I’ve turned to the natural treatments.
Now I use serenaskin herbal remedies , which aim at the root of the disease – the immune system, and are steroid-free.
After about 2 weeks of using ointment and spray my skin has been cleared up and now I just continue with eczema extract, which controls the immune system. My skin has been clear for months now.
It is the only treatment I have found that provides me complete relief when I use it as directed.

What are some good over the counter creams for nummular eczema?

ive been perscribed a cream before from a doctor but as of now i am not able o go to a doctor so i need something over the counter. i use gold bond lotion but that does not help.

The best thing to do is to focus on treating the underlying cause of the eczema and minimize the flare ups by:

- bathing using warm, not hot, water and a very mid soap
- using a cream or petroleum jelly based moisturizer on wet skin after bathing or washing hands.
- moisturize throughout the day as the need arises. Avoid using lotions as they tend to dry out the skin
- pat excess water from skin after moisturizing as rubbing irritates the skin
- wear cotton clothing
- avoid the use of detergents, fabric softeners and dryer sheets with perfumes and/or dyes

There’s a really great article on this website about how one woman with severe eczema was finally able to beat it: http://www.beateczema.com/?hop=4safetynow

Why does eczema randomly appears? Has anyone heard of Herose? (so called treatment for eczema)?

OK. my eczema experience goes like this..
i was a toddler, i had eczema on my elbows. then it went off.
then i got it around my mouth when i was 12, that was due to stress.
then when i was 13, it disappeared and i was fine.
it came back when i was 14. turmoil year. i had eczema on my face, front of my neck, folds of my arms, the back of my legs. the areas where i sweat. at the start of the year, i was playing a lot of tennis, so i had white spots on my face, people told me they were sweat spots. then suddenly they appeared on my right hand. my baby finger web. one tiny patch of it. then it went off after a while. then suddenly it appeared on my index finger web. just one small patch of it. then it went off. then it appeared on the side of my middle finger. went off again. then came back on the other side. now, i have it real bad. on my index finger web, whole middle finger, and a bit on my baby finger web. how does it randomly just come back?
and it’s only on my RIGHT HAND. my left hand is perfect. and it’s not on the back of my hand either. just on the webs.
i stopped all steroid usage because i started a homeopathy treatment called herose. has anyone heard of it?
to me it sounds like my eczema is a mix of child eczema and some other weird kind.
does anyone have symptoms kinda like mine?
one other thing i noticed. stress is a big factor of it. when i was in bali, my skin was perfect. it just disappeared. smooth. no scars.
plus, it’s soo hard not to scratch. i tried emu cream. which only made me itch worse.
and for some reason when i put lotion on the affected areas (excluding face) it makes me itch worse,

Question about applying cream for eczema?

Okay so i asked this on the UK site and haven’t received any answers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

My doctor gave me some cream for my eczema and she’s told me to only apply it once a day instead of twice (because hydrocortisone is bad for the face). So what I’m wondering is should i apply it in the morning when i get up or before i go to bed. Which is best or does it not really matter?

Hey ya, yeah im Irish and notice that the UK and Ireland site can be useless.

Right so, i suffer from Eczema all my life and use steroid cream when i get bad flare ups.

To answer your question put it on at night time is what i’d suggest, reasons:

Ive found that your skin can become quite sensitive to the sun (burn easy) when you have applied hydro.

Sometimes when i put on the cream i can get a bit itcy so i wack it on before i sleep as to reduce scratching.

Once you put on the cream your eczema can get a bit redder, so putting it on at night and then getting up in the morning to go to work etc wont make you so self consious.

This is what I ve found anyway. Hope I ve been helpful.
