My partner has eczema on his face, hands and the inside of his elbows. He’s tried a lot of creams and shiit but nothing has seemed to work. He went to the dermatologist the other day and she basically said she had no idea. It’s really itchy and sore and it gets red and dry. Has anybody else had this or any thing similar to this? and if so how do you get rid of it???

My cousin’s daughter has eczema on her elbows, legs, and cheeks, as well as the tops of her hands and wrists. She has had it ever since she was a baby and the only things that seem to have worked well for her are Calamine lotion (sorry, it’s a cream) or an oatmeal bath. She also uses an oil-based soap that is unscented and my cousin is very careful to make sure her skin does not get dried out. Basically make sure he isn’t using harsh soaps, scented soaps, chemicals that could dry his skin out or things that could irritate his skin. It’s also a good idea to make sure he applies a sunscreen with at least an SPF of 30, especially with the summer season.

One thing you and your partner should keep in mind, is that everyone’s skin type is different and not everyone’s skin will work the same. What may work for most people, may not work for him. My best advice would be to find out more about the disease and try to make changes to accommodate eczema. Her skin colour is about 5-6 shades darker on her neck, legs and arms compared to her face.
She is also allergic to egg and some nuts and has asthma. Her eczema is under control Are there any natural remedies that can help her skin improve as she is only 6 and has been bullied in school because of her skin colour being different. Im using dream cream from lush which is a good moisturiser but isnt doing anything for the darkened skin. Thanks

I have homecoming this weekend and currently have little spots of eczema on my legs and arms. They are red and a little scabby. I’m using 1% hydrocortizone cream and a perscription Tricalisome(not sure if that’s the spelling) cream. Any other fast suggestions?

So I have really pretty bad eczema so when I would get break outs my doctor told me to soak in a warm bath and use no soap. Then when you get out you put on your prescription cream followed by a thick lotion like eucerin. After that you get 2 pairs of thermal type pajamas. You get the first pair wet with hot/warm water ring in out and put them on. Then get your second pair and put them over and sleep in this at night.. It sounds really wierd and like you would freeze at night but it ALWAYS worked for me and I would wake up with really soft skin.. I would just do it every night until homecoming. I promise it will work!! If you have any other questions just ask!

I have eczema pretty bad (my arms, legs, sides), and my skin gets super dry, itchy, red and flaky (gross, right?) if I don’t moisturize everyday. However, I have yet to find a product that actually keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. I usually have to reapply lotion to my legs especially! I’ve tried Vaseline lotions, Aveeno, etc., but I haven’t found anything that I love. Any suggestions?
I have been to a dermatologist. I am currently using Topicort on affected areas, but I’m looking for a lotion that I can use all over my body everyday when I get out of the shower
