what is the BEST way(s) to treat ECZEMA for beautiful , healthy lookinq skin ?

like any kinda creams , treatment lotions , etc . ANYTHiNG !! that you know for a fact will help , based on experience .
i think my condition is mild because my skin doesnt itch or bleeds . but still i hate it

My son has eczema and the dermatologist advised us that the 3 minutes after a bath (yes bathing is better than a shower for hydration purposes) are the most important.

When the skin is still very hydrated from the water you need to "pat dry" not wipe or rub dry. Then apply the thick Eucerin cream ASAP. After 3 minutes are up the skin is no longer absorbing it as well.

What is the best body lotion for eczema prone skin?

I have eczema pretty bad (my arms, legs, sides), and my skin gets super dry, itchy, red and flaky (gross, right?) if I don’t moisturize everyday. However, I have yet to find a product that actually keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. I usually have to reapply lotion to my legs especially! I’ve tried Vaseline lotions, Aveeno, etc., but I haven’t found anything that I love. Any suggestions?
I have been to a dermatologist. I am currently using Topicort on affected areas, but I’m looking for a lotion that I can use all over my body everyday when I get out of the shower :)

Curel ultra healing body lotion best ever for eczema my
sister that has it on her legs she uses it the eczema looks

Can someone provide me with alternative remedies for toddler eczema?

My son is now 1 and has been suffering from eczema for quite some time. I have tried all the lotions, creams, and prescription medications but it only relieves it temporarily. I need ideas on more natural remedies that may be more beneficial for my son.

first of all, the use of an all natural skin care moisturizer will be very helpful. have a talk with a skin care expert about recommended products. if you want to avoid skin from scarring better try to avoid scratching the skin for a break in the skin can cause secondary skin infections. stop eczema itching by getting the skin moisturized. and you better keep fingernails short for you might forget sometimes that you have accidentally scratch it. remember that a break in the skin can cause a secondary infection.

try also avoiding a lot of things that can trigger eczema like:

- avoid perfumed skin care and body care products
- avoid extreme hot and cold weather conditions
- avoid keeping fingernails long
- avoid scratching the affected area
- avoid long baths
- avoid processed foods and foods with preservatives
- avoid skin irritants and allergens like dusts and pollens
- avoid clothes and material that are rough, course, scratchy and tight
- avoid activities that can make you sweat
- avoid smoking and alcohol

try to be gentle with your skin. visit http://www.skinoriginal.com for more tips on how to rejuvenate skin.

What are the best lotions/creams for someone with eczema?

My boyfriend has eczema on the back of his hands & neck. He cant go to a dermatologist to get something prescribed so we need something easy to find in a store. What are some good over the counter lotions I can buy him? Is there anything specific to look for or avoiding when looking for them?

thnx in advance!! :)

There is a brand of lotions and soaps that my doctor recommended to me called Cetaphil that works great for people with eczema. It also doesn’t have a smell so it’s less likely to break him out which is a plus. You can find it in most drug stores..I’ve seen it at Walmart but I brought two huge bottles at Sam’s for about $20. Hope this helps!

Eczema? What to do now? Long Please read if you can help?

My son is 5 months old and has eczema since he was about 2 months. His ped told me to wash him in a mild soap like Dove and moisturize with Eucerin. I have been doing this ever night, never miss one and every morning. At night I give him a bath, 3 times a week with soap other nights without, then I slather on a lot of lotion. He also wears only cotton clothing I was his clothes in All Free and Clear. The humidifier is on pretty much 24/7. For the first week or so it was getting better and better. Now it is just getting worse and spreading. He is now covered head to toe, literally. Diaper area has none. He is very nonconvertible hes always scratching and rubbing. I try to keep his nails short and even use scratch mittens but he just takes them off. What can I do to help? What are the best ways to help the eczema get better or get ride of it all together? What are the best lotions, soaps for eczema that are save for his age, and anything else I can do to help with this.

sounds like he has it bad. unfortunately it will never go away but it can lessen my brother in law has this and he has it all over also he has scars on his arms and legs and hands. he uses fragrance free everything also if you bath with other things in the shower that have fragrance in them he may be getting some of that. also lotions you wear and when you wash his clothes use very little soap and never use fabric softer and you cant give him baths very often. my daughter has a little but its just a few bumps.
