Steroid cream for eczema has runined my skin…will it heal? Help!?

I’m 20 years old and recently had the worst flare up of eczema i’ve ever had. I was prescribed hydrocortisone (a supposedly mild steroide cream) and that combined with lots of moisturiser and oily baths has almost got rid of it. But now my skin has been left with what i believe to be atrophy…its wrinkly, cracked, slightly shiny and a different colour. Will it stay like this now? Is there anything I can do to get rid of it. It’s seriously upsetting me, so any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks

Steroid creams tend to thin the skin, especially face skin as it already thin. You have to discontinue steroid creams application on the face, put lots of moisture. It takes time for your skin to return to normal looking.
If eczema returns I would recommend using SerenaSkin herbal remedies. They will make your skin supple and clean. I’ve used them for my eczema. These remedies just wonderful!
Wish you the best.

Effective eczema cream other than cortizone?

I heard that cortizone is skin thinning. I have had eczema since birth and i’m looking for an alternative to cortizone creams. Are there any even available? Eczema is terribly irritating :[ please help! thank you <3

you should use silcox base, it comes in a massive tub and you lather it on at night so it soaks into your skin overnight, and you could use E45 cream during the day, because cortizone thins out your skin and you will be left with very thin skin if you use it regularly, just use it for break outs..GOOD LOOK HUN!!

Can surgery remove thin-skin caused by using steroid cream to treat eczema?

I have a friend who used a steroid cream for a long time to treat her eczema. Now she has very thin-skin that half wraps around both inner thighs that looks almost like stretch marks. We know there’s not creams that will help the thin skin but…

Is it possible to have the thin-skin surgically removed and if so…

- what type of doctor handles this type of surgery?
-what might this type of surgery be called?
-would she be left with an even bigger scar from the surgery?

i don’t know if the surgery could be done but a dermatologist (skin doctor) would do the procedure, It would most likely be a skin graft type of procedure, they would need to get skin from someone else to put on top of the thin shin (usually they take it from the butt, or lower legs). About the scars i don’t reall know
